Responsible gambling
Everything on this site is written for adults. The offshore casinos we review set their minimum age at 18; a licensed land-based casino in New Zealand will not admit you until you are 20.
Treat a deposit as the price of an evening, not as an investment. The signals worth watching for are ordinary ones: raising your stake to win back a bad session, playing later into the night than you meant to, or being vague with your household about how much went in.
Every casino in our ranking carries deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders and self-exclusion in the account settings. Set them before your first spin. A limit you lower applies straight away; a limit you raise sits in a cooling-off period first, which is the point of it.
Free and confidential help is available in New Zealand from the Gambling Helpline NZ on 0800 654 655, open every day, and from the Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand. Both also support family members, not only the person playing.
